Description
Set in old quarry workings and within a site of special scientific interest, this site has been imaginatively landscaped to create the impression of being in the heart of the countryside while only a ten-minute bus journey on the Park & Ride to the city centre. Guided walking tours are an excellent way of soaking up the academic atmosphere of the medieval colleges and open-top bus tours will take you all around the city and out to the American War Cemetery. Alternatively you can take a punt along The Backs on the River Cam to see colleges like Corpus Christi, Magdelene and the Bridge of Sighs. A visit to King’s College Chapel is a must. This site is ideal for dog owners – there’s a dog walk on site and many walks to take from site.
The site has both electric and drainage hook up for tourers, gas cylinders available as well as laundry facilities on site. There is both toilet and shower blocks on site and facilities for both wheelchair and walking disabled. Dog walks and cycle paths are located in and around the area. Shops and restaurants are located in the nearby towns and villages.
