Description
The ESR is a heritage steam railway. Trains run April-October and December. Special events held throughout the year including Thomas in May and August.
The East Somerset Railway operates heritage steam trains in the beautiful Mendip countryside. Trains run at weekends Apr-Oct and on Weds and Thurs during the summer. Santa Trains run during December.
Services include Sunday lunch and Murder Mystery Wine and Dine trains on the luxury Mendip Belle. Cream Teas are served on the train in the summer. Advance booking essential.
Special events include steam galas, Easter Family Fun Days, Thomas the Tank Engine, Teddy Bears' Picnic, Vintage Vehicle Steam Gala, The Way We Were weekend and Santa Specials in December.
